Editorial Standards
BOSSTOX reports on the infrastructure behind artificial intelligence. Our standards are designed to make technical, commercial and operational claims easier to verify.
Sourcing
We prefer primary sources: government publications, regulatory filings, utility documents, company filings, official press releases, technical documentation, procurement records and direct interviews.
We identify the source of important numbers and include publication dates whenever they are available. We distinguish a company’s statement from an independently verified fact. When a figure comes from a company presentation, we label it as a company-reported figure.
We use secondary sources for context, discovery and comparison when appropriate. Secondary reporting does not replace the primary document when the primary document is available.
Stage discipline
Infrastructure changes over time. We distinguish among announced, proposed, permitted, contracted, ordered, under construction, installed, energized, commissioned, operating and revenue-producing.
We also define the boundary of capacity numbers when possible. Megawatts may describe utility capacity, critical IT load, contracted customer load or actual demand. Those terms are not interchangeable.
Corrections
If we publish a material factual error, we correct the article and add a correction note explaining what changed. We preserve the original publication date and identify the correction date.
For minor copy or formatting errors that do not change meaning, we may correct the text without a separate note. If a reader identifies a possible error, send the article URL, the specific claim and the supporting source.
AI-assistance disclosure
BOSSTOX may use AI tools to help organize research, identify patterns, summarize documents, draft working language or compare source material. AI tools do not replace source review, editorial judgment or human accountability.
A human editor reviews published copy, verifies important claims, checks citations and decides whether the final article is ready for publication. We do not present unverified AI output as reporting.
Conflicts of interest
BOSSTOX discloses relevant financial, business or personal relationships that could reasonably affect coverage. Advertising, sponsorship or a commercial relationship does not buy favorable coverage or editorial control.
Editors and contributors should disclose investments, consulting relationships, employment, family relationships or other interests that could create a conflict. When a conflict cannot be managed through disclosure and recusal, BOSSTOX will not assign or publish the coverage.
Sponsored and commercial material
Sponsored material will be labeled clearly. Advertisers do not approve editorial conclusions. Commercial relationships do not change our sourcing or correction standards.
Reader trust
Our obligation is to be accurate, clear and honest about uncertainty. When the evidence is incomplete, we say what is known, what is claimed and what remains to be verified.
